As part of a dialogue between scientific research, the cultural community of the University and the city of Padua, and with the sponsorship of the American Boccaccio Association, the exhibition to be held in the historic rooms of the Ancient Library of the Seminary has been organized with the aim of showcasing, not only to the international participants of the conference, but also to the students of the University of Padua, the city, and the surrounding area (especially high school students), the wealth of heritage and knowledge about Giovanni Boccaccio. These have emerged and developed around Padua and are preserved among the treasures of the Seminary Library.

On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the death of Egidio Forcellini, several guided tours took place in the three 18th-century rooms of the Bishop’s Seminary Library of Padua and at the location of the Theological Faculty of the Triveneto Library, inaugurated in 2008, featuring an exhibition of precious manuscripts and printed books, both ancient and modern.

Preparatory manuscripts and various editions of the Lexicon totius latinitatis (first edition: Padua, Printing House of the Seminary, 1771) were also on display, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the death of its main author, the priest Egidio Forcellini (1688-1768).
Even today, the Lexicon totius latinitatis is considered an essential tool for anyone dedicated to reading and translating Latin texts.

The visit also included a passage through the Seminary church (Santa Maria in Vanzo, 15th-16th century), with paintings by Jacopo and Francesco da Ponte, Domenico Campagnola, Antonio Vassilacchi, and others.
